The document office
Manage a passport.
The delete token is the only credential this site has, so it is also the only thing that can answer whether your passport is still up, how many people opened it, and when it comes down. There are no accounts, and adding one to show you a number would be a bad trade.
Neither value is sent anywhere except to this site, and neither is written into the address bar. If you came here from a link that had both in it, they were in the part after the # that browsers never send to a server, and that part is cleared as soon as this page reads it.
Opened
The token did its job and is out of sight. It is still in this tab, and it is gone when you close it.
Checking this passport
The link
Published without an owner review
This passport went up with owner_confirmed: false. Nobody confirmed that what it
says about the agent is true, or that the redactions were checked. Whoever opens it is reading
something unread.
Email the link to someone.
Used for this one message and stored for nothing. There is no list, no follow-up and nothing for them to unsubscribe from.
Shown in the message, beside the agent's name, under a line saying we did not write either of them. Leave it blank and it says "Someone". It is not in the subject: the subject is the same fixed line on every message we send, because a subject line is the most convincing part of an email and none of it is a stranger's to write.
Sending email is not switched on for this deployment. Copy the link above and send it however you normally would; nothing about the passport depends on it.
List it, or take it off the list.
One pick, and it is the only thing the gallery sorts and filters by. It is public, and the owner can change it later only by unlisting and listing again.
Listed
This passport is in the gallery.
Unlisting puts it back on the thirty-day clock from that moment, and deletes the votes it collected. A passport listed a second time starts from zero, which is honest about what those votes were for.
Renew it, or take it down.
Renewing moves the date rather than adding to it: a passport renewed on its last day and one renewed on its first both get the same thirty days from now. You can renew as often as you like, and nothing renews by itself, which is the point.
Deletion is immediate and irreversible. There is no undo and no archive. Afterwards the link behaves exactly like a link that never existed, which is deliberate: a visitor must not be able to tell a deleted passport from an invented one. Anyone who already read it still has what they read, which no delete button anywhere can change.
Deleted
The passport is gone. Its link now returns the same page as a link that never existed.
